Cost-Share: Money available to assist with the implementation of erosion control

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP): Provides payments to producers for implementing conservation practices; can be for land or structural management.

State Cost-Share (BWSR): Provides funding to Soil and Water Conservation Districts to help offset the costs of implementing and installing conservation practices.

Incentive payments: Federal or State payments from the government for enrolling in qualifying programs

Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP): Government program that encourages conservation practices. Qualifying land receives payments for current conservation practices and implemented practices while in the contract, along with maintaining and improving the practices.

Low Interest Loans: Local program sponsored by Fillmore County Soil and Water Conservation District and local lenders to reduce and prevent water pollution by implementing the best management practices.

AgBMP Loan Program

Nutrient Management: A specific plan for individual producers based on their operation. This is managing the type of nutrients, the amount and the placement of them. Technical assistance is also available for nutrient management plans for overseeing projects.
